Villa Rantakallio is designed for fishing groups of 10-12 anglers. With 5 bedrooms, 3 toilets and separate washing facilities, a large group can stay comfortably without queuing. There is plenty of storage space for all your fishing gear.

Our private sandy beach and wide pier are the key: we can operate 3-6 boats simultaneously directly from the villa. No trailering – in the morning straight from bed to boat. After a long day on the water, the whole crew fits into the fireplace room with a Tulikivi soapstone fireplace, the authentic wood-fired sauna and the new outdoor jacuzzi. That is why we have fishermen from over 15 countries every season.

We have 14 professional-grade rental boats available: equipped with Minn Kota satellite anchor (Spot-Lock) and Lowrance Elite FS 9 sounders, 20hp 4-stroke engines. Boats and gasoline are delivered ready to the villa pier.

Lake Simpelejärvi is a jewel of South Karelia and one of the most famous and productive zander lakes in Finland. The clear water and deep basins offer ideal conditions for jigging and trolling for big zander. The season is long and the fishing is consistent throughout the open water season.

While zander is the crown jewel of the lake, the pike population is also exceptional – our record catches include a 110 cm pike from Romania, a 96 cm zander from Poland and a 45 cm perch from Lithuania.
