Haapalahti is famous for its pike and zander, and through the canal, you can access the larger Lake Simpelejärvi, home to huge pike, perch, and zander.
Our Hiekkaranta cottage lies directly on Simpelejärvi, offering a private beach, sauna, and immediate access to first-class fishing waters.

Bring your own boat You can also bring your own boats and rent a cottage from us. The boat ramp is right next to the cottages. Last summer, many groups from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania visited with their own boats.
